Sublime

I wonder what it means
That melancholy doesn’t scare me now
At least not as much

There was that time
In that theatre
Where an actor howling agony
Reminded me of you
And I realised a little more

what suicide really meant

You better not have said that lightly
Because my stomach felt it dead weight heavy
It’s acids shrieked escape
And my bursting eardrums pounded

You were right
You were right
You were right

I don’t have the equipment yet
To navigate your depth
